E-mail Applications - Microsoft Outlook Express

Follow these steps to configure the e-mail and news clients in Netscape Communicator 4.04. NOTE: The screen shots and instructions that follow are for Netscape Communicator 4.04 only. If you have a newer version of Netscape, the settings location may be different, but the information will be the same.

• Open Netscape Communicator, select Edit and then Preferences. Expand the section labeled Mail & Groups.
• Select the Identity section and enter the following information:
  • For Your Name enter your real name.
  • For E-mail Address enter your <username>@<yourdomain>.com.
  • For Reply-To Address enter your <username>@<yourdomain>.com.
  • For Organization enter your company name (if applicable).
  • For Signature File enter what you want your e-mail signature to be.

Select the Mail Server section and enter the following information: For Mail Server User Name enter your <username>. For Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server enter mail.<yourdomain>.com. For Incoming Mail Server enter mail.<yourdomain>.com.

Click on OK. Congratulations! You have configured your e-mail account.
